Did you know that New Planet Beer is guaranteed gluten-free? Feel confident that you won’t become “glutenated” while enjoying our great tasting gluten-free beer with our guaranteed gluten-free promise.

Guaranteed Gluten-Free Beer Promise

  • We use the most stringent gluten-free threshold test available in the market today – a baseline test of less than 1ppm for each label produced
  • We test every individual batch with the FDA required 20ppm test. All records are kept at the New Planet offices and can be verified upon request
  • We only use FDA approved gluten-free ingredients
  • We use extract ingredients that don’t utilize Mill Operation or the Mash Tun Operation, which is where the risk for cross contamination is the highest
  • We also use a closed loop system where the beer goes directly from the brew kettle, to the fermentation tank, and then to the conditioning tank before packaging
  • Our equipment is thoroughly sanitized before use and our production process is scheduled separately from anything that could be a threat of contamination
  • Our founder and CEO is celiac and tastes every batch, if there’s any trace of gluten, he’ll pay the price of being “glutenated”

We pride ourselves on being an ethical company that cares about the quality of our products. We’ve never had a problem with a batch and they’re all guaranteed gluten-free. If any mistakes are made in the production process we’re prepared to take all necessary steps to resolve or recall all products that don’t meet our standards.

This past weekend New Planet Beer joined a host of other brewers from across the country in Manitou Springs, Colorado for the 9th Annual Craft Lager & Small Batch Festival.  The festival was, to say the least, a rousing success!  Saturday was extremely busy with new and old fans alike keeping the line in front of our tent one of the longest of the festival.  One random checked revealed that more than 30 thirsty fans were waiting patiently for a single ounce of New Planet’s sweet nectar! Much positive feedback was received, including many non-GF folks remarking that Off Grid Pale Ale was “the best Pale Ale at the whole festival”.  The good times kept rolling on Sunday during the awards ceremony when it was announced that New Planet Beer had take not just one, but two medals in the gluten-free category: Off Grid Pale Ale led the way with our newest beer’s first medal, a gold! And 3R Raspberry Ale, in it’s typical fashion, racked up yet another medal, adding to its already impressive haul from the GABF and LA International Beer Competition with a silver.  Sunday proved to be busy as well as tasters flocked to New Planet’s tent to sample the gold and silver medal recipients.  The Festival was a fantastic time for all involved and we’re already looking forward to defending our medals at next year’s 10th Annual!

New Planet Beer - Gluten FreeThe world of gluten-free beer is becoming more competitive every day. As people realize the benefits of eating and drinking gluten-free, and as more gluten-free options become available, the competition has begun to heat up.

New Planet Beer is excited to announce that 3R Raspberry Ale won GOLD at the Los Angeles International Commercial Beer Competition. This gold medal in the gluten-free beer category comes hot on the heels of 3R Raspberry Ale winning bronze at last year’s Great American Beer Festival. It looks like the Natural Oregon Raspberry Puree is a hit!

New Planet Beer is dedicated to not only making our beer gluten-free and as healthy as possible, but also making sure that it tastes great. Thanks to everyone who helped us win this award, especially our fans!

Hops hold a special place in our hearts, as they heavily contribute to the brewing of one of the most sacred and special drinks…beer. Hops and beer go hand in hand. Without Hops, most beer would not exist (or at least have their taste), and without beer no one would care much for Hops. But is this special plant gluten-free? And the answer is…..drum roll please……YES! Hops are gluten-free!

Hops are technically a flower, and have no relation what so ever to gluten producing grains. This is fortunate because hops are crucial in creating the bitterness and aroma found in most beer. The gluten in most beers actually comes from the grains used in the brewing process, so by avoiding those grains, companies such as yours truly are able to make great tasting beer without gluten. In addition to making beer taste great, hops were once used as a folk remedy for sleeplessness and anxiety.

It should be noted however that if you are a dog, none of this applies to you. Hops are poisonous for dogs, so if you are a dog then you would be better off avoiding hops.
